White Cube

I seemed to implicitly see the current state of contemporary art in Kellie Riggs' article White Cube.

The three new generation artists, Ada Chen, Kalkidan Hoex, and Darja Popolitova, explain the backgrounds of their works, showing that ideas grow and are reflected in their works in the life, environment and culture experienced by the artists. Also, accessibility through visuals meeting the public shows how the definition of art is changing in the digital age.

I thought that, now, it is an era in which the definition of jewelry has already existed as a root that expands various branches and enhances the culture of a new area. The Jewellery design area that decorations on the body and clothes to highlight individuality is creating a genre that did not exist before by mixing with material jewelry, visual design culture, and the digital image world.

Changes in the medium that conveys different impressions according to the times change the approach to intimacy that expresses emotions. We see new and diverse art expressions appearing as rapidly and diversely as the rapidly changing world every day. Works are pouring out endlessly every day, representing all of this. It was an article that reminded me of my passion before entering NSCAD hope to learn how to communicate with the public in the AI and digital age, looking back at the world of jewelry work I am pursuing.

Great observations that you took away from the article by Kellie Riggs (I like that you found some images of her to supplement your response). It is absolutely a unique moment in the history of jewellery making~ one of the most important opportunities we have as makers is to promote, communicate, even sell our own work to a wide audience, exactly as we choose. I look forward to seeing how you document and communicate your work in the future.
